Translating a language is a skill that is always in demand. Because it is used so regularly, and at a professional level, the techniques used to translate are constantly evolving with the times. It can be extremely useful to keep up to date with the latest skills and technologies used to translate. Not every thing has to be taken on, but even a few new skills can be beneficial to even the most experienced translators.
Tanking On New Techniques
The latest translation tricks are often not difficult to learn, and are designed to be incorporated directly into the established rules of translation. This can include skills such as verbalisation, nominalisation and using loan words.
However, it’s important not to force learning new techniques. New skills should only be incorporated if they are beneficial to the translator, however this does require some trial and error in order to figure out if it sits well with the user.
